Information you provide directly. When you make a booking, complete a contact form, or communicate with us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, number of guests, activity preferences, and payment information. Payment card details are processed directly by our payment processor (Stripe) and are never stored on our servers.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain technical data including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and time spent on pages. This data is collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies.

Communications. If you contact us by email or through the Site's contact form, we retain a record of that correspondence.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and confirm your bookings and send confirmation emails with itinerary details
  • Communicate with you about your booking, including updates, changes, and reminders
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • Improve the Site and our Services based on usage patterns and feedback
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
  • Send you occasional promotional communications about new activities or offers (you may opt out at any time)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. Sharing Your Information

Operators and guides. When you book an activity, we share your name, booking details, and relevant contact information with the Operator or guide providing that activity so they can prepare for your experience.

Service providers. We work with trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating the Site and delivering our Services, including payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), and website analytics (Google Analytics). These vendors are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to provide services to us.

Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid court order, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Jackson Hole Outdoor Pursuits, our guests, or others.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and analyze Site traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Site, including the shopping cart and booking flow. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including maintaining booking records, resolving disputes, and complying with our legal obligations. Booking records are typically retained for a minimum of seven (7) years. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).

These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure payment processing, and access controls on our systems. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal retention obligations
  • Opt out of promotional email communications by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email we send

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming. Any disputes relating to this Policy shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Teton County, Wyoming.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
